Satellite Says Plane Kept Flying

Information from the signals sent by the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 that was lost last week showed the plane kept flying for up to five hours after its last known location, investigators suspect. The jet dropped from radar screens, but its satellite uplink was operating in standby mode "saying I'm here, I'm ready to send data." The Malaysian government has denied this new information, saying, “These reports are inaccurate. The last transmission was at 01:07, which indicated that everything was normal.” While reports had surfaced of satellite images showing three large objects in the waters south of Vietnam, Malaysia’s civil aviation chief told the press, “There is nothing. We went there, there is nothing.” Meanwhile, the U.S. is investigating a theory that the plane was diverted and its transponders were shut off.
