Apparently Charlie Sheen can’t weather every storm: He is reportedly leaving CBS’ No. 1 show, Two and a Half Men, after its current (and seventh) season, People magazine reported Thursday. Sheen’s contract ends after this season’s 22nd episode, but sources close to the actor are claiming that he wants out. Sheen’s rep said only that “Charlie’s deal is only through this current season.” CBS refused to comment on the plans of their star, who, at a reported $900,000 an episode, is TV’s highest paid actor. TMZ, however, reported late Thursday that members of Sheen's camp "are laughing at reports,” and noted that Sheen could earn up to $1.5 million per episode next year if he wins the contract fight that sources tell TMZ is sure to come. But The Wrap’s Josef Adalian writes that Warner Bros. (the studio that produces Two and a Half Men) also owns TMZ, and says it’s commonplace for actors to threaten to quit when they want a raise. After all, Adalian writes, Sheen would lose almost $50 million if he walks away from the show.
