On Wednesday, the FBI arrested 26-year-old Blake Benthall, the accused owner and operator of “Silk Road 2.0,” an online black market where anonymous users traded for illegal goods and services. A complaint against Benthall accuses him of taking control of the marketplace just five weeks after the original Silk Road was shut down by FBI agents last year. He is charged with multiple counts, including conspiring to commit narcotics trafficking—which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison and a mandatory minimum of 10 years.
