Sinead O’Connor Admits Suicide Attempt

Twitter may have saved Sinead O’Connor’s life. The singer, who has battled mental health issues for many years, asked her followers on Wednesday to help her find a psychiatrist in Ireland because she was “really unwell … and in danger.” She later said that she tried to overdose in January. When that didn’t work, she tried to commit suicide a few days later after spending time in the hospital for a broken ankle. The reason for the attempts to end her life? The backlash to her 16-day marriage to Barry Herridge was overwhelming.
