The trouble-plagued musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is pushing back its opening date once again, this time to June 14. But this time it's canceling preview performances as well, while a new creative team revises the script and adds new songs from U2's Bono and the Edge. Philip William McKinley was hired to replace Julie Taymor as director and Robertyo Aguirre-Sacasa was hired to rework the musical. The delay and revisions will likely further inflate the cost of what, at $70 million, is already the most expensive musical in Broadway history.
