A bold-faced mix of Hollywood and political names descended on D.C. Sunday night for the Kennedy Center Honors. Receiving the prestigious annual award were Oprah Winfrey, Paul McCartney, musician Merle Haggard, choreographer Bill T. Jones, and lyricist Jerry Herman. President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and outgoing Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi were on hand for the events, as were celebrities from Julia Roberts to Barbara Walters. Clinton took the stage and made a sly WikiLeaks reference while honoring the evening’s recipients, joking that she was “writing a cable about it, which I’m sure you’ll find soon.”
