Syrian blogger Amina Arraf, who wrote the blog A Gay Girl in Damascus, is still missing after she was seen Tuesday morning being bundled into a car by three armed men in central Damascus. A dual citizen of Syria and the U.S., Arraf is the latest of nearly 10,000 people detained since violence began in Syria 11 weeks ago. Arraf claimed that she “must be crazy” to write a blog about being gay with her photo and real name in a country where homosexuality is banned. One of Arraf’s friends in Montreal said she believed Arraf had been abducted because “she’s trying to tell the truth about what’s happening in Syria.”
