A deputy constable in Texas was shot dead at a Baytown courthouse about 7 a.m. on Monday, police said, and the shooter is at large. Authorities said Clint Greenwood, an assistant chief deputy with the Harris County Precinct 3 Constable's Office, was walking in to work when someone shot him. Lt. Steve Dorris with the Baytown Police Department said the shooting appeared to be intentional but that the motive is still unclear. "Whether or not he was specifically targeted, or whether this was because of the uniform he was wearing or the place he pulled up to in the morning, we just don't know that right now," Dorris said. Green was pronounced dead after being flown to a hospital. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the Precinct 3 Constables Office and with the Deputy constables family," said Joseph Gamaldi, Vice President of the Houston Police Officers Union.
