We hope he’s ready for the spotlight when he comes out: The Guardian has interviewed via videophone Luis Urzua, the shift foreman of the trapped Chilean miners and the man who is expected to be the last to leave the mine. “We have had a stage here in our lives that we never planned for and I hope to never live again like this, but that's the life of a miner,” Urzua says. He tells the Guardian that the men are cleaning up the mine before they leave it, "but we don't have any place to put the garbage." Urzua has been praised for helping preserve the miners’ health and morale for the two months they were trapped underground. He rationed food for the first 17 days, giving each man a spoonful of tuna every 48 hours.
