Yes, French women are naturally svelte, or so best sellers would have us believe. But French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld makes us even more confused about why. In a recent interview with Acne Paper magazine, she explains secrets of the Parisian diet – wine, cheese, bread, and (ugh, of course), no exercise. And while there may be a scale in the French Vogue office, Roitfeld insists it isn’t for what you think. “It’s just to weigh my luggage, not to weigh my editors,” she says. And when it comes to style, she’s avoids denim. “Jeans are for my assistants,” Roitfeld explains. The key to classic style, Roitfeld says, may have nothing to do what you have on. “It doesn’t look like I have anything special,” she says. “It’s more the way you mix the clothes and how you move, how you open, how you cross your legs – just little things that make a difference.”
