The annual Met gala—also known as the best party of the year—is always a zoo. But this year's much-ballyhooed punk theme served as something of a dare for guests to take risks with makeup and hair. Many caked on black eye shadow, others dyed their hair strange colors, and some (Sarah Jessica Parker included) opted for adventurous headpieces. The result was certainly a zoo: a handful of stars on the red carpet quite literally resembled animals. From Sarah Jessica Parker and the Eurasian hoopoe to a newly blonde Anne Hathaway and an artic fox, see celebrities at the Met ball—and their animal doppelgängers.
