Nat, 42-year-old scion of the Rothschild clan, launches an extraordinary Twitter attack on his former business partner, Aga Bakrie.
There was a time when the Rothschild name was a byword for discretion in the world of high finance, a convenient shorthand for a particularly British variety of snobbish chivalry.
That proud tradition, however, came to a dramatic end yesterday when Nathaniel 'Nat' Rothschild, the hot blooded 42-year-old scion of the Rothschild clan, launched an extraordinary Twitter attack on his former business partner, Aga Bakrie, the son of the chairman of the powerful Indonesian Bakrie family business group, yesterday.
The exchange of insults came just hours after their corporate divorce – which involved the Bakrie family buying back their coal-mining interests from the husk of a disastrous joint venture company, Bumi, created with the Rothschilds in 2010 - was finalized. The new company has been renamed Asia Resource Minerals.
Richard Branson today reposted the celebrated picture of him kiteboarding with naked model Denni Parkinson clinging to his back, and we saw no reason not to do the same
Sir Richard Branson recently let it be known that he has made the move to Necker Island a full-time one—and after seeing these pictures, few will be in a position to blame him.
For here the multi-millionaire entrepreneur is pictured very much enjoying the high life as he kiteboards through the sparkling ocean waters with a nubile blonde clinging to his back.
It will have escaped the attention of few people that the lady perched on his back is naked.
Couple given use of government helicopter
Prince Harry and his girlfriend Cressida Bonas are reported today to have gone on a skiing trip to Kazakhstan earlier this month.
The couple, who are experienced skiers, flew to the exclusive resort of Shymbulak in the former Soviet state for a ‘private holiday’, with the Sun reporting that they were given use of a government helicopter to whisk them to the slopes and back.
Prince Harry and Cressida reportedly stayed in a luxury chalet in the mountains above the city of Almaty.
Kazakhstan has a cold winter which ensures it has powdery snow until late in the season.
Why was a government chopper provided for Harry?
Cressida'a brother speaks out
Another clue that the royal relationship might be inching forwards.
Cressida Bonas's brother has disclosed that he fears for her safety as her romance with Prince Harry gets increasingly serious.
Cressida's half-brother Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe (and you thought Cressida's name was silly) who works as a city investor by day and a DJ and house music producer by night, told the Evening Standard that he dislikes the media attention his sister is getting because they are a "private family".
"I'd rather the media machine didn't build around my sister," the 30-year-old said. "My only worry is making sure she is safe and she is ok and she is happy.
"I don't really think about it all except in the sense of her safety."
Prince Charles writes to senior Commander of British Forces in Cyprus, asking him to uproot planted avenues of non-native acacia plants which trappers use to attract birds at massive British army base
The annual tragedy of songbird trapping in Europe is about to begin, and no doubt readers of this page will be surprised as we were to learn that a significant part of this vile trade, in which songbirds like thrushes, black caps and warblers are netted in glue traps and sold in restaurants as a delicacy costing $100 a plate, takes place on land in Cyprus controlled by the British Army.

Prince Charles has now written to the senior Commander of British Forces in Cyprus, asking him to uproot the planted avenues of non-native acacia plants which trappers use to attract the birds from the massive army base.
The Prince writes in his letter, which has been seen by the Daily Mail, that the “industrial-scale killing of songbirds" could be significantly reduced if the acacia was removed by the start of the autumn migration period in September.
Prince Harry politely declines invitation from British heavy metal mag
He gave it 'careful consideration' but heavy metal fan Prince Harry has turned down an offer to present a trophy at the Kerrang! heavy metal awards.
The British rock magazine - which is famous for over-using the letter K - got in touch with the rowdy royal after he was revealed to be a heavy metal fan but the Prince has declined their invitation in a polite letter shared on their website.
"Prince Harry has asked me to thank you for your letter of 5th February, in which you invite His Royal Highness to visit the Kerrang! Magazine offices, or present an award at the Kerrang! Awards," Harry's private secretary wrote on his behalf.
"The Prince was extremely grateful for your kind invitations. Having given careful consideration to the possibilities, however, I very much regret that Prince Harry reluctantly feels he has to decline.
"His Royal Highness is focusing on his charitable and military commitments at this time, and is unable to take on any further visits or engagements. I am sorry to have to send you this necessarily disappointing response but I do hope you understand.
"Prince Harry sends you and everyone at the magazine his best wishes and thanks for thinking of him in this way."
Kerrang! reached out to the 29-year-old royal after learning he is a fan of some heavy metal bands.
Dominic West revealed Harry's musical taste after joining him on the South Pole trek.
Justice Minister sparks fury by breaking ranks on monarch’s future in independent Scotland
Later this year there will be a referendum in the country of Scotland to decide whether or not the country should remain part of the United Kingdom.
If Scotland does decide to leave the United Kingdom it's going to cause all kinds of problems, not least for the royal family.
Although the official position of the pro-independence Yes Scotland campaign is that Scotland will retain the monarchy, a senior Scottish minister has now raised the prospect of whether or not there should be a second referendum to decide whether the country should keep the Queen as head of state.
George's new nanny comes from a wealthy Spanish family and trained at the same college Mary Poppins is often assumed to be an alumnus of.
Kensington Palace confirmed to the Daily Beast late last night that Prince George's new nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, was trained at Norland College.
The celebrated nanny college counts as its most famous (if fictional) alumnus Mary Poppins. Although Norland was never named as her alma mater, the fact that Poppins wore white gloves, which form part of the uniform that graduates of the exclusive nanny college are entitled to wear, gave the game away.
When Norland College was founded in 1892, the students’ distinctive brown uniform and gloves were introduced to ensure nannies were not mistaken for mere domestic servants.
However, the uniform is no longer obligatory, and when Miss Borrallo was recently photographed pushing young George around Kensington Gardens she was informally dressed in trousers, a jumper and a knotted pashamina.
Palace finally confirms Will and Kate have hired a Spanish nanny
Well, she held out longer than I expected.
But, with a royal tour of Australia ahead and the inevitability of a sceond baby being conceived soon (whatever William might say), the palace has finally officially confirmed that Kate Middleton has hired a nanny.

The lucky woman to get the most prestigious job in childcare was today named by Kensington Palace as Spaniard Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo. The young royals have followed current trends by not hiring a British nanny who are often reported to be difficult employees.
Three week tour promises to introduce Prince George to the world
William, Kate and baby George are due to arrive in Australasia in just under three weeks for their longest and most ambitious royal tour yet.
Here’s some of the highlights:
April 7: The Arrival
"William has met and fallen in love with someone who has the strength of character to be able to deal with the sort of things that she couldn't"
Singer George Michael has declared what few of us doubted - that Kate Middleton is stronger than her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.
The 50-year-old singer, who is on the promotional trail as he is promoting a new album, Symphonica, said that Kate was better able to take on the constant scrutiny and media attention that came with marrying into royalty.
"I think she would have been incredibly happy for William and Kate," he told Entertainmentwise.
"And I think she'd also be really, really pleased that William has met and fallen in love with someone who has the strength of character to be able to deal with the sort of things that she couldn't.
"I know just how challenging and exacting that level of fame can be. It's like living in a goldfish bowl," he said.
"Sometimes, especially during the Faith years, I felt close to lunacy."
Last year, Michael fell out of a car doing 70mph on a motorway after, he said, attempting to open and close a door that was not properly shut.
Prince Harry suffered a dramatic health scare during his trek to the South Pole, it was revealed today, after coming down with altitude sickness and being forced to rest for 36 hours.
He was left weakened, dehydrated and in pain by altitude sickness and exhaustion.
Dramatic scenes of him groaning and suffering will be screened on Sunday in British TV channel ITV's second episode of his documentary about the challenge, Harry's South Pole Heroes.
The Prince can be heard groaning loudly as he is being checked by a medic, and he admits, "Antarctica jumped up and bit me on the ass."
Prince Harry made drunken phone calls to his girlfriend Chelsy Davy, the London phone hacking trial heard today, on another day of evidence that will make uncomfortable reading for the royals
The phone hacking trial in London today heard that Prince Harry would make drunken phone calls to his then girlfriend, Chelsy Davy during 'piss-ups' with his army colleagues.
In an email sent in March 2006 and read to the court today, former News of the World royal correspondent Clive Goodman said "She gets calls from him and he's completely not in a good condition... piss ups".
He would apparently 'shout affections to her down the phone,' Goodman added.
Princess Anne cements her status as the ultimate fashion recycler
Thought Kate Middleton was the reigning queen of recycling royals?

"Readers don't want to see 'real' people on the covers of glossy mags, "because they can look in the mirror and see that for free."
The editor of British Vogue has waded into the ever-heated debate over the idealized representations of women in fashion magazines by declaring that readers don't want to see 'real' people on the covers of glossy mags, "because they can look in the mirror and see that for free."
Alexandra Shulman, the editor of British Vogue since 1992, made the forthright comments in an interview with singer Lily Allen on Radio 2.
Mrs. Shulman said she was 'bored' with the discussion about why models are so thin and said she was "fed up" of having to deal with such questions.
When asked about her favorite Vogue covers, she told Allen: "Quite often the ones I really like are the creative, arty ones. But they don't sell as well."
Prince Harry’s girlfriend is the opposite of Kate Middleton in every way. Tom Sykes examines the evidence: a pair of Doc Martens, some dungarees, and that infamous scrunchie.
