Tina Turner Gives Up Citizenship

This is breaking our hearts, Tina. Tina Turner will formally “relinquish” her U.S. citizenship, according to the U.S. embassy in Bern, Switzerland. Turner has lived near Zurich for nearly two decades, and has taken an oath of Swiss citizenship. According to the report, she no longer has any strong ties in the U.S. except for family, and she “has no plans to reside in the United States in the future.” Turner, 73, married German music producer Erwin Bach in July, and she stopped touring in 2009. At least Americans can still watch What’s Love Got to Do With It.
