Two years after Al and Tipper Gore announced that they were splitting up, The Washington Post reports Beltway rumors are swirling about Tipper’s involvement with former National Geographic editor in chief Bill Allen. Sources would only say that Tipper and the 71-year-old Allen enjoy a “deep friendship,” but that hasn’t stopped speculation from mounting as the twosome has been spotted together at a number of low-profile social engagements with close friends. Though they’ve known each other for decades, their current flame is rumored to have been kindled only recently.
