LONDON, ENGLAND - AUGUST 03: A photo illustration of pirated music being illegally downloaded with the legal music service iTunes in the background on August 3, 2011 in London, England. Plans to update copyright law to allow users to copy personal collections from cd and dvd to ipods and computers have been announced, but the film and music industry is facing a huge problem with illegal downloads and peer to peer (p2p) file sharing of releases, made even easier with the latest fast broadband conections. The top five film hits of 2010 were illegally downloaded 1.4m times, with films appearing online within days of their release in cinemas.
