WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 22:    Applications are up  five-percent at George Washington University in Washington, DC on January 22, 2010.  The latest trends show high school seniors are apply to selective colleges in the US in record numbers especially to those that are known for meeting the full financial needs of admitted freshmen.
