05 Jul 2012, Berlin, Germany --- (dpa FILE) - An archive picture, dated 23 July 2012, shows a Bavarian man in traditional clothing cheering with a glass of beer while watching a live broadcast of US-President John F. Kennedy delivering a televised speech on his television set at his home in Bavaria, Germany, 23 July 1962. The civilian communications satellite Telstar was launched from Cape Canaveral on 10 July 1962 enabling the first live broadcast of televised programmes across the world. Telstar transmitted the first live-boradcast between the US and Europe some 50 years ago, marking the beginning of new age in communication.
