President Barack Obama gives a 'thumbs-up' as he leaves the State Dining Room of the White House in Washington, Monday, June 10, 2013, where he announced his nomination of Jason Furman, a veteran White House economic official, as chairman of his Council of Economic Advisers. Furman will replace Alan Krueger, who is returning to Princeton University as tenured faculty in the economics department. The council is one of two of the president's main sources of economic advice to the president. The other is the National Economic Council, where Furman currently serves as principal deputy director.(AP Photo/Pablo Martinez Monsivais) Pablo Martinez Monsivais/AP
