An Iraqi woman drives a car during a driving lesson in central Baghdad on December 6, 2008. Following the US-led invasion of Iraq and the deterioration of the security situation across the country, women were forced to put away their driving gloves by the threats and violence of Muslim extremists. On the back of more recent security gains around the capital, women have taken to driving again, with many applying for a driving test and license.
