Is Yemen’s president next to fall? A tribal figure from President Ali Abdullah Saleh's ruling party resigned from his senior post on Saturday and called "on all noble Yemenis to overthrow the regime." Al-Ahmar announced his resignation in front of tens of thousands of protesters in a town 30 miles northwest of the country's capital, following demonstration clashes the day before that resulted in the deaths of seven people. "The regime must go, so we can build a nation based on (civil) institutions," said al-Ahmar. In the nine days since demonstrations inspired by those in Egypt and Tunisia began in Yemen, twenty four people have been killed.
