President-elect Donald Trump on Friday morning bemoaned the shutdown of his son’s charity fundraising, calling it a “ridiculous shame.” The Washington Post reported on Thursday that Eric Trump’s charitable foundation would be shuttering its fundraising operations in order to prevent potential conflicts of interest while his father is president. “My wonderful son, Eric, will no longer be allowed to raise money for children with cancer because of a possible conflict of interest with my presidency. Isn’t this a ridiculous shame?” Trump wrote in a series of tweets. “He loves these kids, has raised millions of dollars for them, and now must stop. Wrong answer!”
