Turkey’s soccer officials announced Tuesday that they had fired 94 officials, including referees, following last month’s failed coup against President Recep Erdogan. The Turkish Football Federation declined to say whether the sacked officials had any ties to the coup attempt, only stating that the firings were taken as a “necessity.”
