The Texas Supreme Court on Friday ruled in favor of the energy and chemical companies that sued the city of Houston in 2008 over its then-new clean air ordinances. The ordinances made it mandatory that businesses pay registration fees based on the pollution sources on their sites. The Texas high court ruling brings the laws to a halt.
