In another well-timed marketing move Uber, the San Francisco based e-hailing company, will offer one-day ice cream delivery service in three dozen cities around the world. Using the popular Uber app, customers need only select the ice cream truck option and commit to buying six cones or more at a price of $30-$35; but for those who regularly use Uber, that probably isn’t a problem. The company warns that demand will be so high that many will have to wait a long time before their sweet treats arrive. With the heat waves crushing the Eastern cities, most won’t mind waiting for the much needed relief.
