It's an asteroid! It's a meteorite! It's...bigger than a breadbox! A space object 33 to 50 feet wide will miss Earth by 76,000 miles on Wednesday. NASA scientists are stumped, though, as to what, exactly, the un-poetically named 2010 AL30 is. NASA dismissed the rumor that the object could be man-made, saying that the object's orbit—between the sun-side of Venus and the outer edge of Mars—makes it "very unlikely" that the object is part of a rocket. Experts say the object is too small to cause damage to Earth, even if it were to hit, and is likely a tiny asteroid.
