U.S. officials said on Friday that mysterious health attacks on the American diplomatic community in Cuba went on as recently as August. The estimated tally of those affected now stands at 19 personnel members. The American Foreign Service Association disclosed a number of symptoms as a result of the attacks including brain swelling, severe headaches, loss of balance and "cognitive disruption." Previously, U.S. officials had contended that the attacks, believed to be caused by a potential covert sonic device, had began in the fall of 2016 and stopped in the spring of this year.
