Veena Malik, Topless FHM Cover Model, Found Safe after Disappearance
The Pakistani model who posed topless has been found safe after a disappearance.
Pakistani actress Veena Malik has been found safe in Mumbai after an unsettling disappearance this weekend. Malik’s publicist confirmed on Saturday that the actress didn’t show up to the set of the Bollywood movie she’s filming on Friday, and she wasn’t responding to phone calls—sparking fears that she had been targeted after riling Muslim extremists for posing topless on the cover of FHM India last week. Indian papers quickly ran with the news of her disappearance, although at least one director warned it could be a publicity stunt. (Her publicist denied this charge.) On Sunday, the actress’s publicist said Malik is “not very well at the moment” and she vanished because she “wanted to do it her way,” adding: “The main thing is that she’s safe and she’s being looked after.”
