Spies aren’t always Russian: A couple that used to work for Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico has been arrested and charged with conspiring to help Venezuela build a nuclear weapon. Pedro Leonardo Mascheroni, a 75-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen from Argentina, worked as a physicist at the lab from 1979 to 1988 and had a security clearance that let him access classified information; Marjorie Roxby Mascheroni, a 67-year-old U.S. citizen, was a technical writer and editor. Mascheroni told an undercover agent—who was part of an FBI sting—that he could develop a bomb for Venezuela in 10 years.
