Move over men with ED. A small study of 25 women by a Penn State University research team found that when administered vaginally, Viagra seemed to ease menstrual cramps. The study found that the drug proved to help with pain when painkillers like ibuprofen failed to do the job. While more research will be required, and scientists are still unsure of why the drug would work to help pain from cramps, prior research found that Viagra taken orally to fight cramps helped but had side effects like headaches.
