Wilson: 'I Will Not Be Muzzled'
Rep. Joe Wilson may have apologized for his "You Lie!" outburst, but now he is back on the offensive in this video released Thursday arguing that Dems are using him as an excuse for government takeover. That, and he wants your money.

Well as a registered White Supremacists and with the endorsement of the morbidly obese, drug addicted Felon, Rush and after the "shakes" abated, he now feel justified in disgracing himself, his family and himself. Being wasted on the job isn't tolerated in the private sector only in the U S congress.

this is where politics is so disingenuous. wilson did this for his own advantage. obama neglected to mention there is no procedure planned to verify whether an applicant is illegal. said another way this is why neither left nor right will win the hearts of the reasonable human beings in the middle watching this utterly stupid circus.

true, but what if denying illegal aliens basic health care costs the system more money over the long run? Or what if they're running around with infectious conditions, and it costs the system more over the short run?

If a pregnant illegal shows up at an emergency room about to deliver do you think she is turned away now?

If an illegal turns up at an emergency room with a severe injury incurred at a construction site do you think he is turned away today?

If an illegal child shows up at an emergency room with a fever of 104 this evening do you think the kid will be denied care?

The point is that we are already paying for heath care for illegal aliens now and we are paying for the most expensive type of care.

Some sort of a plan to provide health care to these people is a good idea and would save me a lot of money. I can't speak for the rest of you because I don't know if you actually pay taxes.

This nonsense about coverage for illegals is just more Right Wing hyperbole to get the extremists in the base all jacked up.

Unsurprisingly classless act coming from a man that supports diseased ideologies that continue unjust classfications of human worth. Wilson is so predictably behind the curve that any shame he should feel simply doesn't register within that shiny dome. He was told to apologize because otherwise he couldn't continue babbling the excrement that would otherwise go unnoticed. Maniac. Let priests be the holy ones and for fucks sake let government representative be secular humanists. Ban the bible in the brains of our leaders.

Be nice if he had better manners.
I like healthy disagreement in politics. i think it helps keep thesystem balanced and mroe honest, because genuine interest in serving the people of this country mandates an open mind, consideration of what your opponent has to say, and the ability to admit when yoiu have learned enough to know you were wrong, or that you have changed your mind.

Ooopps. Sorry. for a minute there, i thought people went into politics to serve the people.

What a flaming hemorrhoid. A conniving opportunist.
Faced with censure and feigning an apology, Wilson
continues his distortions while asking for financial
support. No class. No integrity. No character.

You'll be needing those campaign dollars...Rob Miller
is only a stone's throw away from taking your seat.

This guy learned what Sarah Palin knows: That there is money and notoriety to be had in courting the fringe. Wilson was attacked and even proven wrong (language in the bill really does exclude illegal aliens). But, already, he is a star among the folks who read World Net Daily and listen to Sean Hannity.

Remember Palin's "death panel" charge? The mainstream media's reaction was that she "stepped in it" and would be forced to backtrack in an embarrassing way. What happened was very different. Palin stuck to her guns. That seemed crazy, but wasn't. The people who know that the "death panel plan" was a canard were never going to support Palin. Those already inclined to like Palin chose either to believe literally what she said, or to finesse the meaning with a slightly more nuanced interpretation. She also got sympathy from those who thought the media picked on her. Score one for Palin.

Likewise, Wilson will get a lot of mileage out of his "don't let them silence me" routine. Just watch.

Interesting analogy that has some merit, but I see Wilson's outburst as being a political liability with lasting consequences. In one breath, he continues in his fabrications while exhorting whatever constituents he has into making financial contributions. Palin's wanderlust in voodoo politics is quizzical and borderline farce. Wilson's chamber gaffe was strategically placed, and represents what's so disingenuous about far-right pugs.

While Wilson is busying himself with false apologies and grovelling for contributions, his seat in congress is anything but secure. This has the makings of a major backfire.

Then retract it.

I love how we are trying to have a serious debate about
real life and death issues and many media sources
decided to lead the news with this jack @ss.

It belies any attempt to pretend that the "news" is anything
but entertainment. The president can declare war on Spain
tomorrow but if Rush makes a comment at the same time
about how he hates the President's tie, the lead story will
be: controversy over President Obama's lack of appropriate

Then maybe, yes, I would have contributed.

Wilson's apology, like his shouted accusation, is a lie. Congress members were given a bound copy of the speech, as they always are, and Wilson was aware of everything Obama would say.

He wasn't sitting there when the mention of illegal aliens caught him by surprise. He was probably waiting for that moment.

I think the Dems should just ignore this person. He outlived his 15 minutes 15 minutes ago. He is, of course, shameles, but that is the only clothing fit for a hypocrite. Viral videos of his shouting should proliferate so that the cinematic hop Hitler was given by a film editor in 1940 will be replaced as the perfect example of a man edited into ridiculousness. The gNOp like to think they are hated by the Progressives, but that is only a projection of their abject fear. Actually, they are despised, like the mops and brooms in the swifter commercials.

The man was wrong to break protocol and wrong to show disrespect to the office of the presidency.

But, if a Lefty had done the same to Bush, he would have been said to have been "speaking truth to power". Isn't that a big Leftist family value?

And, the truth is, this congressman was speaking the truth. Let's say that Obama didn't "lie" outright. But, he was speaking disingenuously in the manner of a careful attorney.

Because the Democrats have refused to put any mechanisms of enforcement in any of their bills, illegal immigrants would have full access to an American national health service. (As they essentially do now, through our hospitals and emergency rooms.)

This new, more convenient delivery of service will be a new magnet to untold millions of new illegals from south of the border.

This is abundantly clear to Right and Left alike. And that is what Joe was yelling about.

You're too smart not to know that the health insurance industry is in dire need of reform. And further, that without the US government (which is nothing more than the collective us) we wouldn't have the Louisiana Purchase, the Erie Canal, the Transcontinental Railroad, The Homestead Act, The Panama Canal, The G.I. Bill, or the The Interstate Highway System. The Republicans have allowed themselves to be hijacked by the fringe. No story, no ideas, nothing but a bunch of screaming outhouse yokels. It's pathetic when you think of the wonderful history of the GOP.

Disgraceful. I am convinced now more than ever he made a mockery of our an important dialogue in our country for his own cynical bid at raising his profile. I can use only one word to describe this kind of behavior and I understand it's a word Congressman Wilson enjoys using quite often. Anti-American.

Here's great idea - make sure illegal aliens have no access to health care, and those migrant workers picking our crops will spread typhus and tuberculosis, killing us all, and then we won't have to worry about insuring anyone. Isn't that what Wilson means?

Wilson wants us to provide a proof of citizenship (like a passport) before receiving medical care. So if you have a heart attack or are in an auto accident and you're not clutching your passport, you'll be denied care until you provide proof, which is darn hard to do when you're not conscious.

Or maybe he just wants that passport check for those who are not pure white, but rather kind of brown or black around the edges and, therefore probably either aren't citizens or shouldn't be.
