Nothing ludacris about any of that. And why does it always take a poet to know it?

.I love what he is saying, I hope he means it. That's what I believe is best for our communities to have someone who motivates, believes in, educates & supports those less fortunate. Instead of just keep giving hand outs., it not working has anyone noticed? Well I have seen a lot of African American Clergy on Fox News saying the same thing. We have great schools in our lower income areas, all they need is someone who will push them to stay and learn, and why that's important. Parents are most important, without them it's almost impossible, grandparents, aunts, teachers, etc. or all the above. Let see what this guy means and what he is going to do.. This administration is all about more hand outs, which Obama should know, because he came from a home like this, and he did great with support & education not just hand outs

I'd have to go to his website to find out what he is talking about. I am cautious of getting excited when young urban entertainers start talking about "doing more" because I, a Black women, witnessed for years the same talk with them not proving any results but photo opportunities of figure-heading events more than real structural initiatives that required risk and assessments, benchmarks, and best practices.
I have noticed Ludicrous has been clawing for relevance and has been seeking to upgrade his Q Rating. Rappers are not really called upon anymore in the knowledge economy because there is little value that is translatable. Other than buying electronics, my people are rather useless in any other fashion. So I am not usually hopeful anymore when I see an urban figurehead claw for the top to remain socially relevant without a track record of discovery and field testing any social initiatives as a trailblazer in the field of dogooding.
I have witnessed the kiddie focused "save the kiddie" approaches Luda has presented in Atlanta as well as his gimmicks to give away cars to the poor and his, I think it was, giving away turkeys years ago at Thanksgiving. I tried to approach his people with social innovative ideas and they ignored me. It was a bit sexist and just really, it was a few years before Obama showed up on the scene talking the "new idea talk" in which I was talking but was run out of Atlanta because it was not common among urban entertainers yet.
I learned and I knew one day those who used to be on top that relied on the old tricks of the trade would one day be clawing for social relevance when their usual exploits proved primitive.
It is great seeing Luda say these things. I will now have to go check out what he really means. A lot of urban entertainers are clawing for relevance to gain access to Obama's social calendar and have realized that business as usual for them does not grab his attention. I think they also are tired of not being considered innovative anymore not that rap and singing is so 1990s.
I don't think Bill O'Rielly really affects the urban entertainers as much as they are not invited by Obama to be first-string players and they notice that it is also the same way in very fertile knowledge economy. They want in. It's very clandestine and carnal. It's not altruistic at all. They hate not being important anymore.
Thank you.
