The best thing about Bill O'Reilly is watching other people correct him over and over again. Bill is such a goof ball.

The hypocrisy fault line of liberal media is starting to erupt. Nice try Rick, but your outrage seams to be reserved for Oreilly, the heinous terrorist is just a background story.

LIBERAL Media. LIBERAL Media. LIBERAL Media. LIBERAL Media.LIBERAL Media. LIBERAL Media. LIBERAL Media. LIBERAL Media.LIBERAL Media. LIBERAL Media. Don't you people ever get tired of saying LIBERAL Media when you clearly don't even understand what that means? It is just too irritating to always see same old same arguments - stale, unconvincing, incoherent and utterly disengaging.

The hypocrisy you talk about is what you do know so well...coz you live it day in day out.

Oh ya, one more thing, the outrage was at O'Reilly, coz he is the one that made an unfounded claim...just like countless others. You people thrive on malice and paranoia...where would you be if these weren't your daily bread. Where would you be!

And it is about time O'Reilly was challenged by a news reporter; because O'Reilly hurts this country.

How often does this man just
rant about something or someone.

Is it true he hit a man while driving
under the influence, the man later died, and
apparently this guy was never held accountable?

The self righteous editorializing is obnoxious.

Is this CNN's idea of journalism?

While I don't like Rick Sanchez as a journalist, he comes off as trying too hard. I take issue with your assertions.

Whose rants are you talking about? You mean how many times does O'Reilly rant? What's wrong with you? Rick responded to O'Reilly who was the one that started ranting about CNN. Why is it Bill's business what CNN covers or doesn't cover? Does anyone go telling Fox what and how to cover their news [noise]?

Self-righteous editorializing? Between O'Reilly and all the Fox hounds, is there anyone more self-righteous? See, people that shout out loudest against something is either because they are that thing and are trying to cover it, or desire to be that thing and can'f afford to be it.

CNN's idea of journalism? What do you understand about journalism? what Fox tells you it is. CNN does journalism - much as it would not be perfect as Rick said. Fox defecates on journalism - much as sometimes someone like Shepard Smith might do journalism.

Get a grip. Please. Stop this disservice to humanity...by your existence in the state you are in. What a waste of space that could have been occupied by someone remotely intelligent in their analysis of situations.

And one more thing...when someone is rebutting some claim, it doesn't constitute (any idea of) journalism. Any normal THINKING person knows that. You needed understand this before you start on your RANTS.

Viewsonic's a plant, an agent provocateur, sent here to say indefensible things in a lowly and thuggish manner, poorly spelled, void of logic, proof, civility or humanity, just to get a response from anybody capable of engaging in anything greater than sand-box level discourse. Best left ignored.

Tucson138, thanks for that comment. A lot of times I feel like some of the "people" commenting here are "plants"; they're so off balance and so right-wing, and sometimes also left-wing, that it almost seems like they have been sent from some bee hive to get other people down onto a level where you can't take them for real anymore. Am a paranoid or could this be a grounded hypothesis? Is the Daily Beast infested by certain groups and attacked by them in a coordinated way?

Kitten-
Left wing plants here? I think sometimes articles here are "planted" to stir up the nest, eg Caroline Kennedy appointed ambassador to Vatican, four americans murdered in Mexico, etc. But left wing plants, how about an example?

we get played by the media, we get played by the politicians. we jump in with both feet because we have emotion and occasional insight. it's not clear that there is an alternative course. but honestly is this all that much fun or meaningful? seems like there's all this mutual hate out there and it's really pretty rare to see a substantive concurrence. are we getting worked or are we willing partners in this scheme? are these rants "full of sound and fury signifying nothing"?

all that glows will be no brighter than our aura. we are not setting the bar all that high.

O'Reilly, Fox News, Hannity, Beck, and Limbaugh are all liars. I have listened to them from time to time just to hear what kind of crap they are saying and it is so unbelievable how twisted they are. BTW, Barbara Walter confronted Glenn Beck on the View about some twisted story he told about her on his show and she also asked him if he checks his facts before speaking. He couldn't respond....no surprise there.

No doubt the media all but ignored the story of the recruiters being killed, and played up the killing of the abortion doctor to the maximum extent possible.

@neverlate; I disagree with your analysis! I saw plenty of coverage about the recruiters tragic murder on CNN and MSNBC. Perhaps they were not playing it up enough for your taste, but they certainly did not ignore it!

Pleassse - it took over two days for the major news shows (other than Fox) to report anything on William Long's murder, and even longer for the White House to issue a statement. The George Tiller murder was headlines from the moment the gun went off; to include a immediate response from the White House.

wrightsrong54

Puhleaze - I saw it shortly after it happened on both CNN and MSNBC.
You just didn't like the slant. Frankly the Tiller item was significantly more newsworthy. The recruiters murder was very tragic. I'm not downplaying that, but you're just a rwcon who fells it needed to have a higher profile.

Have to agree with you, connie47. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. There was more coverage on the killing of Dr. Tiller, because abortion is still a hot-button issue. Recruiting stations are not. If a terrorist angle continues to unfold, then all media outlets will be reporting on this killing. "And so it goes".

If you have such disrespect for other culture's language keep it to yourself. Some people value being able to communicate so they can avoid wars and the myriad of other bad things that result from lack of communication.
