Colbert Rips Joe Lieberman
Stephen Colbert may be fond of "mavericks," but he showed no love for Joe Lieberman Wednesday night, after he rejected a public option. The Conn. senator is independent, all right, he says—independent of principles! Clip above; full episode here.

Lieberman is a pawn of the insurance industry. No one should be surprised by his "obstruction" stance on Health Care Reform.

When will the voter's of CT say "Enough is Enough"?

Well, you gotta understand ...

It is officially war between the different political affiliations in the current political atmosphere ...

So the enemy of my enemy is kinda like my friend ...

"So the enemy of my enemy is kinda like my friend "

Absolutely axiomatic:

The friend of my friend is my friend.
The friend of my enemy is my enemy.
The enemy of my friend is my enemy.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

In war, there's no other way to look at it.

"rino's". That's how you right wingers disparage your fellow Republicans for wanting to think for themselves. Also, there's no need to put an apostrophe between the letters o and s. It is meant to establish possession (as in Elldeen's house has a big porch), and I think that it is so irritating when people misuse it.

Don't worry eldeen, it's just the republics showing their abject ignorance. None of them took advantage of their public school education and they're proud of their stupidity.

Republicans are obsessed with purity, elldeen. Not coincidentally, Christian and other religious fundamentalists are obsessed with purity.

Perhaps Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter should be required reading in the GOP.

hithere3,
You should know by now that Republicans are only supposed to read one book, the Bible, but they can't even it out. Don't add a second book into the mix, it will only confuse things further.

"...conservatives were more likely to report that Colbert only pretends to be joking and genuinely meant what he said while liberals were more likely to report that Colbert used satire and was not serious when offering political statements."

Lieberman will never forget how the DNC left him out in the cold when he ran against that "Cable Guy". Theyshould show some chutzpah and not let him caucus with them, no matter what the cost. It is obvious he wants all the attention he can get, even if its negative. Remember, he was a close ally with McCain. Reid never should have let him off the hook.

I don't know what's funnier, Rhonda.

(1) You calling our president dumb amid your endless spelling and grammatical errors,

or

(2) Your requirement of ideological purity within a party that is now down to 20 percent membership nationwide.

He's of Irish descent, actually. The name Colbert arrived in Ireland sometime after the Norman Invasion in the 11th century.

The only thing worse than Mr. Independent, as in independent of reason and compassion but not of money from the insurance companies, is the sickening sucking up by so called Democrat Harry Reid of Lieberman so poor little Joe wont support the republican filibuster! He along with the four turncoat Democratic Senators and any others who refuse to support a robust public option should leave the Party and go over to the Party of Evil wrapped in a flag sitting on a Bible worshipping mammon, otherwise known as the Republican Party.!
