clever.
I was really hoping that one of the few positive things resulting from Obama's election would be that this WHACKO would go away for a few years.
I was wrong.
PLEASE Michael let PBS re-run Sicker! We need people to be viscerally reminded that the medical-industrial complex insurance corporations bring only a Giant Sucking Sound between You & Your Doctor.
GINNV = The equivalent of every man, woman, and child in the whole states of Georgia, Indiana, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Virginia have zero health care. (Or the equivalent of the whole country of Spain. Or the whole country of Australia. That many Americans have no health care. Zip.) Help, Michael -- please get Sicker re-issued.
I think it's SICKO.
Maybe it is clever for Michael Moore, but I think I must have outgrown him. I really don't find him funny any more, not informative any more, now I find him to be a real waste of time.
I went to his "after 911" movie, I forget the name of it, and I heard kids saying how boring it was and walked out of it.
Maybe renting the dvd will be ok, but this is does look like it will be a box office hit by any stretch.
I mean: Maybe renting the dvd will be ok, but this does NOT look like it will be a box office hit by any stretch.
I think I threw up in my mouth a bit.. Watching a Micheal moore movie is like watching a movie with Bill O'Reilly, Nancy Grace, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, or Keith Olbermann in the driver seat.. So Lame!!
Yeah.
No-
It's nothing like that.
I wonder what Michael thinks about Obama taking more money from Wall Street (including Goldman Sachs) than every other candidate combined in the 08 election?
And just exactly where have you discovered this information sonofloud?
In an effort to cast himself as independent of the influence of money on politics, Senator Barack Obama often highlights the campaign contributions of $200 or less that have amounted to fully half of the $340 million he has collected so far.
But records show that one-third of his record-breaking haul has come from donations of $1,000 or more: a total of $112 million, more than Senator John McCain, Mr. Obama's Republican rival, or Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, his opponent in the Democratic primaries, raised in contributions of that size.
Behind those larger donations is a phalanx of more than 500 Obama "bundlers," fund-raisers who have each collected contributions totaling $50,000 or more. Many of the bundlers come from industries with critical interests in Washington. Nearly three dozen of the bundlers have raised more than $500,000 each, including more than a half-dozen who have passed the $1 million mark and one or two who have exceeded $2 million, according to interviews with fund-raisers.
Given his decision not to accept public financing, Mr. Obama is counting on his bundlers to help him raise $300 million for his general-election campaign and another $180 million for the Democratic National Committee.
An analysis of campaign finance records shows that about two-thirds of his bundlers are concentrated in four major industries: law, securities and investments, real estate and entertainment. Lawyers make up the largest group, numbering roughly 130, with many of them working for firms that also have lobbying arms. At least 100 Obama bundlers are top executives or brokers from investment businesses: nearly two dozen work for financial titans like Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs or Citigroup. About 40 others come from the real estate industry.

Well done sonofloud. This is an inconvenient truth
Why does this kind of stuff get unnoticed by Mr. "social conscience". I thought Flint was Moore's home town, and he doesn't even comment on this.

The government looking at expanding a pioneering scheme in Flint, one of the poorest US cities, which involves razing entire districts and returning the land to nature.
Local politicians believe the city must contract by as much as 40 per cent, concentrating the dwindling population and local services into a more viable area.
The radical experiment is the brainchild of Dan Kildee, treasurer of Genesee County, which includes Flint.]

The only flaw I can find with Micheal Moore is that he enjoys what he does a bit too much.
Get the popcorn this looks like a movie everyone should see. Certainly...before they judge the entire film by the trailer...Bet I'm not the only one who thinks this might just be interesting and entertaining...and by the way, Sicko needs to be brought to the public once again. The timing is e
Sorry...the timing is exquisite.
I work on Wall Street as an FX derivatives trader. When I saw Moore's teaser I secretly thought: It's about time someone made the case - it's so obvious.
Truth is the bank/broker bailout is the biggest Wall Street fraud ever perpetrated on the American people - and we've gotten away with many.
This time numbers are just staggering; enough to make even top earners in this town blush. We've often sat in bars toasting the bailout and laughing until it hurt over the utter BS it is.
Hank Paulson is the greatest equity raiser in human history and will live in Wall Street folklore forever.
Thank you.
