Arkansas has now “evolved.” On Tuesday, Walmart announced that it will now offer health-insurance benefits to partners of all U.S. employees beginning next year. Based in Bentonville, Arkansas, Walmart employs 1.3 million works domestically, making it the largest employer outside of the federal government. The move comes as a bit of a surprise, as the retailer is not known for its progressive policies regarding employees and benefits.
