A top Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula leader was killed by a U.S. drone in Yemen on Friday, the White House has confirmed. AQAP also confirmed Nasser al-Wahayshi's death in a video statement Tuesday. Al-Wahayshi, who was once Osama bin Laden’s personal secretary, was succeeded by military commander Qasm al-Rimi, according to AQAP operatives.
