An Ohio woman and her partner have sued a sperm bank in the Chicago area after the woman became pregnant through sperm donated by a black man rather than a white man, as they had intended. Jennifer Cramblett, whose partner is Amanda Zinkon, learned from an employee at Midwest Sperm Bank in Cook County, Illinois, that she had been inseminated in 2012 with sperm from a black person and not the white man she and Zinkon, who are both white, had chosen, according to the lawsuit. The couple have a 2-year-old daughter from the sperm donation. They say they love the child and would not change anything about her, but worry about raising her in their predominantly white community.
