Rick Ross Apologizes for Lyrics

Rapper calls date rape rhymes “one of my biggest mistakes.”

The timing sure is interesting. A day after his contract with Reebok was canceled, Rick Ross apologized for the controversial date rape lyrics he wrote for his contribution to Rocko’s song “U.O.E.N.O.” In the song, Ross raps about slipping a girl the drug MDMA and then taking advantage of her: “Put Molly all up in her champagne, she ain’t even know it, I tooker he home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.” In a statement, Ross said the song “does not reflect my true heart” and calls the song “one of my biggest mistakes and regrets.” Reebok terminated his contract Thursday, saying that Ross doesn’t live up to “the values of our brand.”
