Telling her story for the first time to a court Sunday, a 28-year-old U.S. female sailor recounted the events of January 19, when she beat a Dubai bus driver into submission after he tried to rape her at knifepoint. The woman, who was on 24-hour leave when the incident occurred, said she began to get anxious when the bus driver took a strange turn on his route. “I noticed he did not take the main road, and when I asked him, he told me not to worry,” she told The Daily Mail. Parking the bus in a lot with a few others, he then began trying to kiss and touch her, eventually pulling out a knife when she started to fight back. The off-duty sailor allegedly broke the knife in two and bit his hand, before pinning him to the ground. KS, as the man is being called, faces charges including attempted rape.
