Looks like Americans are leaning in. There are more than 8 million female-led businesses in the United States, putting the country at the top of a survey female entrepreneurs by Dell. Coming in second was Australia, followed by Germany at No. 3, with France and Mexico rounding out the top five. The study, presented at the Dell’s women’s entrepreneurs event in Istanbul, looked specifically at female potential for entrepreneurship based on aspiration, thriving business environments and business networks in each country. The U.S. performed best on factors like indicators of good institutional foundations and a strong overall entrepreneurial environment.
