Accused Killer Nanny: I’m Innocent

Says the charges are “all lies.”

Yoselyn Ortega, the former nanny accused of killing two children in her care in October, told the New York Daily News that she did not murder the children, but rather "somebody else did," although she did not say who. Ortega also allegedly slit her own throat in the attack. Police said that Ortega had stabbed Lucia, 6, and Leo Krim, 2, just as their mother returned home with their 3-year-old sister. "Those are all lies," Ortega said about the charges against her. She has been in a psychiatric ward until recently, but doctors deemed her mentally fit to stand trial.
