Your latest vice could be the new issue of VICE magazine. The all-female Fiction Issue features a bevy of smart ladies who’ve penned their best thought-provoking prose for the magazine. VICE snagged American Award–winning author Joyce Carol Oates to write Forked River Roadside Shrine, an expletive-laced piece focusing on a dead teen’s ruminations about his cross alongside a New Jersey highway. The issue also includes a new story by A. L. Major called Miami, an interview with Marilynne Robinson, a fashion shoot inspired by female writers who've committed suicide, and artwork by Marilyn Minter and Nan Goldin. The cover is a 2008 piece by sculptor Carole A. Feuerman called Francesca. Even though the issue isn’t online in its entirety yet, readers can find more at http://www.vice.com/magazine/20/6.
