Kickstarter Apologizes for Rapey Project

Pickup artist raised funds for a quasi-rapey guide on forceful seduction techniques on the site.

After receiving more than $16,000 in donation pledges for a book on how to seduce women, many opponents raised awareness about the posting on website “Kickstarter.”The website issued an apology recently and said they were wrong and vowed to ban “seduction manuals” from now on. In the apology, Kickstarter said they were sorry for any misogynistic behavior and they would like to keep the environment friendly and supportive. The company is also donating money to the charity RAINN, Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network.
