After recent uproar about Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s stance on immigration, the possible 2016 Republican presidential contender is yet again in a tough situation. Anti-abortion groups, along with Republican lawmakers, are urging him to introduce national legislation banning abortions after 20 weeks. According to Politico, the bill probably wouldn’t going anywhere in the Senate. Even though Majority Leader Harry Reid would not schedule the bill to take the floor and it would probably not get time in committee, supporters of the legislation believe it would at least get a conversation started about the issue.
