Docs to Hospitals: Carry Out Abortions

Since new abortion laws are restricting access to clinics.

With states like Texas and Ohio passing stricter abortion regulations, more clinics are being forced to shut their doors. Now a group of doctors wants more hospitals to take on abortion procedures. This marks a reversal of traditional medical trends. In fact, 100 ob-gyns in the September issue of the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology are against the new state abortion limits, calling them “political regression.” According to an article in Time magazine, while 97 percent of ob-gyns are approached with a patient who wants an abortion, hospitals give only 4 percent of abortions in the U.S.
