Man Threatens to Decapitate Congresswoman

He was arrested in Mexico after fleeing Hawaii.

A man who sent an email to the FBI earlier this month vowing to find Hawaiian Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and “sever her head from her body” was arrested Thursday by authorities in Mexico. Aniruddha Sherbow reportedly fled Hawaii after telling the Hawaii Reporter that “Tulsi just needs a bad guy in her life, and I am the one who has been chosen” and “at this point, if you stuck Tulsi’s head in front of me, I’d have it off in two seconds flat.” Gabbard is a combat veteran and the first female of Samoan ancestry and Hindu religion to serve in Congress. In 2011, Sherbow was issued a restraining order after threatening Gabbard while she was a member of the Honolulu City Council, but he told the Hawaii Reporter that it was never served.
