Rosie's Still Riveting

One 93-year-old is still on the job.

Most “Rosies” cleared out of the factories when WWII came to a close, but Elinor Otto, 93, just couldn’t keep away. “I'm a working person, I guess,” she told NBC News. “I like to work.” Lucky for her, the Boeing plant where she works in Long Beach, Calif. is appreciative—she now earns almost $40 an hour, a far cry from the 65-cent rate she made when she started in 1942. “We worked hard as women,” she says of those days, “and were proud to have that job.”
