But says it is “self-evident” she’s a feminist.

Nigella Lawson, the self-proclaimed “domestic goddess,” has blamed the recent feminist revolution for women’s “dread of the kitchen,” saying in an interview with the Observer that she recognized a reluctance to be “tied to the stove.” The food writer was “baffled” to be asked if she considers herself a feminist, claiming it should be “self-evident” that she is. However, she points out that “women of my generation were keen –rightly – not to be tied to the stove, but the ramifications of this were that they felt a sense of dread in the kitchen,” adding that “feeling comfortable in the kitchen is essential for everyone, male or female.”
