Best Cities for Recent Grads

Your diploma’s in hand, your bags are packed, now where will you put down roots?

Choosing a city to set up camp in after college can be daunting, especially if you don’t have a job offer (or if you’re choosing between a few). Her Campus has polled its “collegiettes” to help advise why certain cities win out over others. Why DC? It has the smallest gender pay gap (women reportedly earn 91 cents on the man’s dollar). Why New York? Bars on every corner. Why LA? Big dreams, big opportunities. Why San Francisco? Good tech jobs. Why Boston? It’s not an “overwhelming” city (except, unfortunately, for this week). Why Chicago? It’s full of manly men, just the way you, er, like them…maybe? In any case, it never hurts to engage in some armchair exploring.
