Swedish School Gets Gender-Neutral Changing Room
Oh, Sweden, you are so ahead of the politically correct curve. A school in Sodermalm, Stockholm, is opening a gender-neutral changing room for students who don't want to feel constrained by gender stereotypes in early May. The idea was proposed by pupils last year and can be used by any student getting ready for school activities. "Every human being deserves a place where they feel comfortable," said a students' union member. Nearby, another liberal school has been encouraging teachers not to use "him" and "her" to refer to boys and girls, but use the word "friends."
